Dear MV Lacrosse Families,

What a great week of lacrosse our program had last week. We have had an impressive turnout of 51 players come and tryout. It is great to see so many new players that want to learn the sport and be a part of our program. Amazing turnout!

This week starts mandatory practices at Monte Vista, 5:15-7:00 for both Varsity and JV. We are technically still in a tryout with soccer just ending and players are still being evaluated. Rosters will be posted on Tuesday, 2/14 by 9pm.

Due to our large number of players, teams will be divided in the following way. There will be a competitive varsity team, a competitive JV team and a JV practice squad. Players not selected for varsity, will be placed on JV. Then the JV team will be split into competitive and practice squads.

Competitive JV- Mandatory practices and will participate in all JV scheduled games.

Practice Squad- Practices only and will NOT participate in JV games. This gives new players a chance to learn the needed skills and learn about the sport.

We will be having a parent meeting for all teams on Wednesday, 2/15 at 7:30 at Monte Vista in room 204. At this meeting, we will discuss upcoming events, budget and introduce the coaching staff.
